Luca Filippi

Born in Savigliano, Italy (August 9, 1985), as young as 8, Luca Filippi started racing in go-kart competitions.

In 2002, he won the "Astra & Autosprint searching for drivers" competition, thus beginning his MazdaMX-5 CUP experience where he finally placed first once and finished twice on the podium.

The following year, he took part to the Formula RENAULT2000 Championship where he proved to be one of the most promising drivers. In 2004, he kept on racing in Formula Renault finishing third.

 

 

In 2005 he was singled out by FMS to race in the Italian Formula 3000, and won the Championship. At the end of 2005, for the first time he drove a F1 car (Minardi Team), achieving good time results.

His GP2 experience started in 2006. In 2007 he achieved the 4th place in the Main Championship and Honda F1 choose him as his F1 Test driver. Luca also won the “Casco D’Oro”, the Oscar of racing given by Autosprint, and kept testing with Honda until the japanese team retired.

In 2009 got the 5th place in the GP2 Main Series and in 2010 gained the 2nd place in the GP2 Asias Series.

Currently Luca races in GP2 2011 Main Series and Auto GP Championship both with Super Nova Racing Team.

James Hunt

 

James Hunt, nato James Simon Wallis Hunt a Belmont, Inghilterra, il 29 agosto 1947, rappresenta il tipico esempio del pilota di Formula Uno stile anni Settanta, veloce e determinato quand’era ora di mettersi il casco in testa e gettarsi in pista a trecento all’ora, ironico e scavezzacollo una volta sceso dalla propria vettura. 

 

  

 

Proveniente da una benestante famiglia d’Oltremanica, il giovane James sembra destinato a divenire un medico, se non fosse che, poco prima di compiere il diciottesimo anno di età, assiste casualmente ad una competizione motoristica in compagnia di un amico e ne resta immediatamente folgorato. A partire da questo momento James Hunt sa che diventerà un pilota e per raggiungere il suo obiettivo non esita a farsi le ossa in pista gareggiando prima in Formula Ford e poi nella locale Formula Tre.

L’Inghilterra è da sempre la patria dell’automobilismo sportivo, ancor più a cavallo degli anni Sessanta e Settanta, di conseguenza le occasioni per emergere non mancano di certo ad Hunt che si mette subito in mostra per la sua aggressività e la sua determinazione al punto da guadagnarsi l’azzeccato ma poco lusinghiero soprannome di Hunt The Shunt, traducibile in Hunt lo sfasciamacchine, per via dei numerosi danni che il coriaceo britannico provoca alle vetture a lui affidate finite distrutte in spettacolari incidenti. 

È stato un pilota di Formula 1, vincitore di 10 Gran Premi e Campione del Mondo nel 1976.
